Many times I have gotten a call/email stating "my computer used to be fast..." the number one reason that computers lose speed over time is because of the operating system (OS). Microsoft Windows is infamous for cluttering its internal files and registery settings. 

What I recommend is aprox. every 3-4 months format your hard drive and reinstall your OS. I of course can provide this service to you. On average a reinstall of the OS and all upgrades and security patchs takes about 5 hours. Reinstalling additional software (antivirus, Office, and games) can take several more hours.

If you went to Best Buy's Geek Squad they would expect you to pay 175 dollars for the basic service and you could expect lots of pressure to upgrade your hardware. Those Geeks are actually sales people with a monthly quota to fill or be fired. And if they came to your house to provide the servicing, go ahead and tack on annouther 100$ for a total of 275$

I charge $75 for a driver backup, file backup (you have to know which files you want to save), OS reinstall, App reinstall (you provide the software, I install). If I travel to your house to provide the service the charge is 25$ for a total of 100$. Thereby, saving you 175$.
